How we are paid
Our service is free for customers. Hauling companies pay us for introductions, either per request or through a monthly arrangement. That is how we fund the free guides on this site. It does not change the price you pay the hauler, which is set by the hauler alone.
What makes a good request
- A list of the main items (for example: sofa, fridge, 10 bags, old treadmill)
- Where they are: basement, garage, upstairs, backyard
- Access details: stairs, elevator, alley or street parking, gate width
- Anything heavy or unusual: hot tub, piano, concrete, soil
- Your preferred date and whether you are flexible
The more specific you are, the more accurate the price, and the less likely it is to change on the day.
Same-day junk removal
Need it gone today? Send your request as early as possible, pick today’s date and say you are flexible on timing. Same-day availability depends on each hauler’s schedule, so it is never guaranteed, but early, detailed requests have the best chance.
Before you say yes: a short checklist
- Get the price in writing (a text or email is fine).
- Confirm what is included: labour, disposal, surcharges, GST.
- Ask the hauler to confirm it holds a City of Calgary business licence and liability insurance. TrueNorth Junk Removal does not verify these for you.
- Agree on the arrival window and how you will pay.
